Overview Of The Role:
- The Customer Services Assistant - Smaland is responsible for maintaining exceptional customer service in the Smaland playroom by ensuring the safety and enjoyment of visiting children. They greet and welcome families, explain the Smaland policies clearly, and address any customer inquiries or complaints effectively. The role emphasizes child safety as the top priority, involves routine checks, and adheres to IKEA’s policies and procedures. Additionally, the assistant contributes to improving customer service in the store and maintaining IKEA’s brand reputation through upholding store standards.
What You Will Do:
Customers
- Greet and welcome customers on arrival at Smaland.
- Explain the Smaland admission policy in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure child safety is the main priority in Smaland.
- Make announcements and page parents if there are issues with children in the playroom area.
- Handle routine customer complaints promptly and courteously.
- Provide a safe environment for children within the area.
Operational
- Ensure all system procedures are adhered to according to policy/procedure.
- Brief the Duty Manager on complaints that require management assistance.
- Ensure all emergency procedures are adhered to.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High School qualification.
- Local qualification in Child Care as per relevant country.
- First Aid qualification relevant to the country.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
