Overview Of The Role:

  • The Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the store's success through effective management of sales performance, customer satisfaction, and merchandising standards. They are responsible for daily store operations, staff training, and development. Success in this role requires achieving growth and profitability while maintaining high levels of customer service and adherence to company policies.

What You Will Do:

Drive Sales & Profitability


  • Meet or exceed profitability expectations for the store in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
  • Create and execute strategies to maximize store sales and control expenses.

Operational Effectiveness


  • Control company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures, managing inventory, in- and out-bound stock movements, sales, returns, exchanges, and store maintenance.
  • Execute and comply with all company policies and store procedures.

People Development / HR


  • Support recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining high-quality associates for store profile and succession planning.
  • Lead by example, train, develop, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, and visual merchandising.
  • Organize weekly staff meetings and daily briefings to recap store performance and communicate new company goals and strategies.

Customer Experience / Sales


  • Ensure an excellent level of customer service is prioritized at all times by executing and achieving Customer Experience consistently.
  • Maintain visibility and lead by example on the selling floor to answer customer questions and support all selling functions.
  • Implement all visual merchandising standards, promotions, and ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.

  • Proficiency in business English and computer skills.
  • Ability to analyze reports and utilize data to drive sales.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager with a proven track record of driving sales and profit results.
  • Experience in training and developing a team of individuals.
  • Good command of business English (written and verbal), good computer skills (Outlook, Excel & SAP), and detailed report analysis skills.
  • Strong level of numeracy and literacy.
