Enterprise IT

Al-Futtaim Enterprise IT provides support to the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. It manages the IT application and infrastructure across various lines of business including Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services. The core components of EIT are Business Application Management, Infrastructure &Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance.

About the Position:

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Business Application Specialist for our Retail and F&B division in Enterprise IT. The Application Specialist position works as part of the application support team, to assist with solution support and development activities. It provides a dedicated and professional solution knowledge base, together with deployment and domain expertise.

Application Management
• To manage, consult, teach, troubleshoot, setup and maintain respective domain solutions to agreed service level standards.
• Investigates and develops specifications for system changes to handle workloads and high availability.
• Develops and maintains documentation for Technical solution modifications.
• Liaise with software suppliers and the Change Management team for problem resolution and deployment of system changes.
• Ensure compliance with IT Policies, Security Standards and strengthen internal controls.

Solution Delivery
• Work with internal and external implementation team members and partners to contribute to the development, testing and deployment of solutions.
• Adheres to software development and maintenance standards by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of internal and external development best practices.
• Estimate and deliver multiple projects assignments and system change requests as per agreed resourcing and timelines with required quality.

Other Key Responsibilities
• To liaise with relevant managers and stakeholders in IT to ensure full collaboration and understanding on critical topics as one IT team. 
• Contribute to the improvement of the solutions and business processes.
• Maintains and upgrades professional knowledge, management skills and domain expertise by using continuous learning & development tools.


About You:

College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:  
3-5 years’ experience in Retail or F&B business applications implementation and support environment (Preferably Retail PRO/Micros/Wincor/LSRetail) 

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:
Technology domain expertise in Retail and F&B business applications.
Analysis and troubleshooting skills used to support end users.
Experience working on or supporting one or more Full Life Cycle Retail or F&B implementation
