About the Position:

We are looking for an Operations Manager for our vehicle rental business in Qatar. You will need to ensure high level of customer satisfaction is provided and enhance the brand image to meet and exceed set standards. Further to this you will need to motivate, guide, train and support all relevant personnel in the team to achieving organizational objectives.

You will liaise with National Operations Manager for quality control on a regular basis to ensure that the high standards are maintained, business expansion is managed effectively and continual improvement is made. You must also create and implement procedures in line with the companies policies and vision. Continuously looking for operational efficiencies and ensuring maximum usage of existing resources and assets.

The key responsibilities in this role will be but not be limited to the following:

·         Working closely with the Senior Management Team in managing the operations of business.

·         Managing and developing AVR as a quality provider in the Qatar market.

·         Managing and supporting a team with the business’s processes and procedures keeping in line with the Group’s standard operating procedures.

·         Being accountable for maintaining costs in line with budgets in place, whilst reducing operating costs and maintaining maximum outputs in line with the business plan.

·         Supporting the Business Development Team in securing their targets and goals.

·         Continuous research of the market to maintain a better understanding of the customer requirements, positioning gaps in the market and for the maximum performance of the organisation.

·         Represent AVR and establish good relationships with suppliers and clients. 

About You:

For you to be successful in this role, you will have a minimun of:

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Experience in operational and maintenance aspects of the automotive industry, preferably car rental or service related industry.
  • Understanding of industry best practices, standards and their impact on customer service levels. 
  • Good understanding of retail sales operation and promotional activities to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Work requires professional written, verbal communication and inter personal skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external customers and senior management  team
  • Develop and Maintain strong relationship with peer group and colleagues
  • Five years minimum experience in service industry, preferably car rental and leasing industry.
