Al Futtaim Finance (AFF), a Central Bank of UAE regulated entity, is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Al-Futtaim Group, the leading business conglomerate of UAE. AFF specializes in providing a range of innovative consumer finance products to customers across the UAE.

About the Position:

The M&A analyst is responsible to support the M&A - GM with his/her responsibilities across the life-cycle of any M&A deal (i.e. Prospecting, Deal Identification, Valuation, Pitch, Structuring the deal, Negotiation, Integration, Benefit Realization). You will also support senior management in communications with external constituencies regarding mergers and acquisitions, including communication with investment bankers, investors, rating agencies, and regulatory authorities. 

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the evaluation of potential acquisition opportunities, including coordination of due diligence efforts which involve extensive interaction with various groups throughout the business. 
  • Conducting valuation analysis regarding acquisition opportunities using discounted cash flow analysis, comparable analysis, and other financial tools. 
  • Presenting recommendations and analysis regarding M&A prospects internal working group, head of Corporate Finance and senior management, as appropriate. 
  • Developing and maintaining merger-related forecasts, and evaluating the pro forma impact of acquisitions on actual and forecasted capital levels. 
  • Conducting research and analyses of industry and peer bank data; Keeping apprised of peer activities including financial results, acquisition related activities, and capital actions. 
  • Maintaining M&A internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.


About You:

To be eligible for this position, we require the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or mathematics.
  • Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • More than 5 years of related work experience in financial analysis, M&A, corporate development, investment banking, and consulting private equity

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Ability to travel extensively including long periods our of country.
  • Strong ability in the utilization, building and evaluation of financial statements, capital planning and investments, financials metrics, and data structuring.
  • Successful analysts should have global market knowledge, good business understanding, problem-solving skills, and business intuition.
