Job Purpose:

You will be primarily responsible for Sports brands within the Fashion and Lifestyle Division. You will oversee the entire supply chain (from origin to store, including store returns) to work within budget and meet business and service level objectives both locally and internationally.  The current portfolio of

You will be required to:

  • Control supply chain costs; reduce in lead time to stores, manage obsolescent stock, increase stock turns/product sell through and ensure maximum on shelf availability;
  • Develop clear logistics best practices and processes, and ensure these are communicated, and implemented across the MENA region in line with local requirements in each country;
  • Build strong relationships with all key stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, Logistics Service Providers, Brand Logistics, Brand Managers, Planning & Merchandising, Finance, and Store Operations Managers) to effectively enable critical decision making that will impact stock availability, freight warehouse and distribution costs and manage delivery lead times.
About the Job:

Manage & Monitor Sports Supply Chain & Ecommerce Costs & Service Levels

  • Management of supply chain cost & service levels to ensure that they stay within budgeted levels for the Fashion & Lifestyle – Sports 
  • Develop and implement immediate corrective action were costs are outside budgeted levels
  • Ensure that the ecommerce/multi-channel supply chain is optimized and within agreed lead time and cost level

Inventory Management

  • Identify gaps in the existing inventory control processes and take corrective action to address these gaps in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the development and enforcement of robust inventory/ stock policies, procedures (SOPs).
  • Optimise inventories across the multiple countries
  • Ensure in-store availability is in within targeted levels
  • Timely identification of slow-mover inventory to Buying Team.  Ensure that clear actions are in place to address these slow movers and physically coordinate the movement of products back to the local vendor,

    as per agreed Terms with Vendors and/or back to outlet mall.

  • Assist with the coordination of store stock takes/inventory reconciliation.  Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate daily cycle counts with the warehouse.
  • Ensure physical product movements are accurately documented. 

ERP Logistics & Inventory Management Processes

  • Ensure that the ERP (SAP) is maintained and operating effectively and efficiently from an inventory & logistics point of view
  • Ensure ‘Automated replenishment’ is fully operational and working efficiently in all stores
  • Ensure timely identification implementation of corrective action of damages or stock un-availability

Inbound /Outbound Management & Customs Clearance

  • Manage, maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, government agencies/representatives and vendors (including principals) and their suppliers or third party companies to ensure the on time and smooth movement of product both internationally and locally in accordance with contractual obligations and agreed SLAs
  • Ensure the smooth operation of fashion conformity assessment programmes, certifications and pre-inspection services (eg SASO)
  • Ensure the smooth import & customs clearance of goods across the MENA Region for both merchandise and non-merchandise product
  • Proactively monitor and control inbound shipments to ensure the timely delivery of products to the stores.  Oversee warehouse and logistics operations and ensure all relevant documentation is received and processed accurately.
  • Continuously track and manage 3rd party service providers performance to ensure agreed SLAs are within agreed levels and drive service improvements, increase efficiency and lower costs

People

  • Build strong relationships with all key stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, Logistics Service Providers, Brand Logistics, Brand Managers, Planning & Merchandising, Finance, and Store Operations Managers) to effectively enable critical decision making
  • Promote a culture of cooperation, collaboration and team work within the brand and with logistic service providers

Business Growth/New Markets

  • Support the logistics & warehouse aspects of market entry and store opening projects within Fashion & Lifestyle – Sports
  • Ensuring compliance to legislation and brand requirements prior to operations starting in each store and country.
  • Manage store openings with required stock levels.
