About the Position:

As part of the Group Total Rewards Team, the initial objective of this role is to to design the Group’s Global Mobility Policy and direct, oversee and ensure its implementation across the organization worldwide. To act as the advisor on all Mobility aspects towards GHRD, Senior HRBPs, Tax, Payroll, and local businesses. Once the framework has been implemented then the role will focus on Total Rewards policies and processes and manage and maintain the global mobility policy. 

The core responsibilities for the global mobility project are as below:

  • Designs an effective Global Mobility Policy to enable the success of the Talent Strategy
  • Directs, oversees and ensures the implementation of the Mobility Policy across the organization worldwide
  • Designs tools, guidelines, processes, contract templates, etc. to efficiently and compliantly facilitate the movement of talent
  • Directs and oversees the global compensation review process for all globally mobile employees
  • Designs Benefits and Insurances (Health/travel/life insurances, pensions, global savings plan, etc) for mobile employees
  • Supports Business Development in providing manpower planning information & analysis for business cases on mobile employees
  • Supports the “new” business with setting up benefit levels, payroll, social security, tax, etc. for mobile employees
  • Regularly review performance of suppliers of benefits & services and ensures contractual terms with them secure maximum value for the company. Manage key relationships to influence performance
  • Ensures all mobility related activities and set-ups are compliant to local legislation regarding social securities, personal & company taxes, labor law, payroll rules, pension regulations, etc. acts as the global “go to” person for HR, Tax and local businesses
  • Sets-up a global employment company and related payroll
  • Being an active member of internal & external mobility councils

The Total Rewards responsibilities are as follows:

  • Co-designs and implements an effective Global Total Reward Strategy which promotes a strong performance-oriented culture and personal growth among colleagues. Directs, oversees and ensures the implementation of the Global Total Reward Strategy across the organization
  •  Responsible for external benchmarking, analysis, and action planning
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of employee segment related reward packages (fixed/variable pay, short-long term incentives, etc.)
  • Designs tools and guidelines to efficiently facilitate the global compensation review process
  • Directs and oversees global compensation review processes, for all WL3 and above
  • Designs Benefit plans and insurance policies (Health/travel/life insurances, pensions, etc) for local employees
  • Regularly review performance of suppliers of benefits & services and ensures contractual terms with them secure maximum value for Al-Futtaim. Manage key relationships to influence performance
  • Designs global HR operational policies, guidelines and procedures (redundancy, governance & compliance, anniversary, others)



About You:

The successful candidate will have a core background in Total Rewards/Compensation & Benefits but will also have a minimum of 5 years experience in global mobility design and implementation.
To be eligible for this position, we require the following qualifications, skills and experience:


  • Advanced Degree in Human Resources / Finance / Tax
  • A minimum of 8 -10 years experience within TR/C&B with 5 years in global mobility. 
  • Experience in a multinational international organization is required
  • Excellent ability to understand business needs and translate them into well-structured HR support functions and processes
  • Strong strategy and planning skills
  • Organized, structured, detail-oriented
  • High individual drive yet a good team player
  • Effective communication skills across hierarchical levels
  • Empathy, personal tact and cultural awareness
  • Ability to handle very confidential information on daily basis
