Group Finance

Group Finance is based in Al-Futtaim's head office in Dubai Festival City.

About the Position:

As the General Manager for Al-Futtaim's Shared Service Finance department this person will be accountable for leading a Centre of Excellence within the Finance function to deliver shared services activities for internal business units driving streamlined, effective and high performance levels. Continuously focussing on creating value by being adaptable to ever changing market environments as well as focussing on standardising and optimising processes across geographies and exploiting technology to maximise levels of efficiency.

The job holder overall monitors the finance and accounting functions of the Al-Futtaim Group corporate entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and established policies and procedures of the group.

The main responsibilities will be to actively drive and support best in class systems, process and governance for the department and integrated planning across the Group. This person will: 

Be accountable for delivering against Service Level Agreements which are stringently reviewed ensuring they are aligned to the business goals.
Be accountable for ensuring that optimized processes are in place to support the successful delivery in line with these.
Have a constant focus on identifying opportunities to standardize and optimize processes and exploiting technology to achieve maximum levels of efficiency. 
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including IT, Group Finance and Treasury to implement initiatives and projects in line with the Finance strategy.
Advocacy and support of the integrated business planning strategy to align operations and strategy for the organisations financial performance
Manage regular dashboard reporting and analysis to the Group FC as well as internal dashboard review meetings with SSF management team to discuss and review overall SSF performance
Lead a lean skilled and high performing team, guide and motivate them to develop and achieve goals.  Deliver action plans to actively promote engagement within the department. 
Manage the regional accountants in GCC
Prepare and review of annual budgets and forecasts for corporate entities in coordination with various departments. 
Charge out of SSF costs to businesses
Ensure timely completion of various audits and tax returns handled at SSF 
Ensure compliance as per DOA, policies & procedures of AF group
Liaise between various finance teams, corporate departments, Group Directors and SSF to ensure common objectives are met for the group

About You:

We require the following skills and experience: 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: 
• Accounting professional qualification (CA/ ICWA/ ACCA) with expertise in Financial and Management accounting especially on a large ERP

Minimum Experience:  
• 15-20 years of well-rounded experience in F&A space
• Worked in and driven Business Process Outsourcing environment
• Proven experience in  a medium to large multinational company
• Implemented process reengineering change with multiple drivers

Job-Specific Skills:
• Technically sound on compliance, IFRS, accounting principles & Budgeting/Forecasting
• Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous
