Enterprise IT

Al-Futtaim Enterprise IT provides support to the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. It manages the IT application and infrastructure across various lines of business including Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services. The core components of EIT are Business Application Management, Infrastructure &Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance.

About the Position:

As part of our Enterprise IT department this role is accountable for the development of the IT procurement standards and polices across the enterprise.  Ensure the effective provision and adoption of modern and cost effective services, technology and infrastructure to support the expansion, growth and performance of the Al-Futtaim Group and optimise the Group IT spend and procurement standardisation.

This role is also accountable for the IT administration and asset management function which is responsible for controlling and reporting IT cost expenditure and recovery.

Accountabilities:
• Lead sourcing and negotiations, establish and manage service delivery, continuous improvement roadmap and relationships with IT Service providers in line with sourcing strategy to support IT Service, Infrastructure Management and Technology delivery
• Establish a Group Procurement program that is supported internationally to leverage the Group buying power and optimise the expenditure.
• Lead sourcing and negotiations, procurement and delivery of hardware, software and Implementation Services as per group Procurement policies.
• Manage Group IT assets and contract renewals
• Establish and manage relationships with key vendors. Build industry relationships to stay abreast of latest technology developments, innovation and business direction
• Identifying the opportunities within EIT to reduce Operational Cost in conjunction with the internal stakeholders

 
Vendor Selection Process & Negotiation
• Ensure that all the vendors are selected through a well-defined Procurement Process like RFP’s and RFQ’s
• The Vendor selection process is clearly communicated to the internal stakeholders and agreed 
• Negotiation is done by shortlisting top 2 or three vendors and ensure the best possible deal is agreed with the vendor
• All the evaluation process to be properly signed off by the stakeholders and kept for any future reference
 
Procurement Strategy, Policy and Processes 
• Ensure that Procurement Strategy and Policy documents are agreed and published
• All the documents are regularly updated and published at a central repository for quick access
• Ensure no deviation from the Procurement policies through governance and due diligence 
• Ensure that all the contract requires legal review, is shared with legal team and feedback taken
 
Internationalisation
• Drive the implementation of the Procurement strategy integration of international IT teams
 
Vendor Relations & Contract Compliance
• Identify and classify the vendors as strategical and tactical.
• Establish good relationships through regular meetings and events
• Ensuring no impact to the business operation by maintaining a backup vendor or solution as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance against contracts.  
• Regular meeting with internal stakeholders to measure the performance of the vendors 
• Establish governance structures for partner management.
• Ensure governance structures are established to manage EUS upgrades and security compliance
 
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead a lean, skilled and fully engaged team; coach, develop and motivate them to achieve set objectives and deliver maximum contribution
• Establish clear objectives, roles and accountabilities of the team.
• Promote and support your talent within EIT
 

 
About You:

We require the below as our minimum requirements:

Education:
Degree in Computer Science/IT/Finance / Business 

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:  
10-15 years IT Procurement and Vendor Relations experience in a large organization
Managed a budget of Over AED 50 million
Financial and budgeting expertise
Experience of emerging IGT technologies and how they can deliver value
Demonstrable experience of implementing procurement and vendor strategies in optimizing cost and services
