Enterprise IT

Al-Futtaim Enterprise IT provides support to the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. It manages the IT application and infrastructure across various lines of business including Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services. The core components of EIT are Business Application Management, Infrastructure &Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance.

About the Position:

As part of our Enterprise IT department the main objective of this role is to drive the EIT Program Management Office to deliver successful project outcomes within a portfolio of significant qualified business value to the Group. To define and develop enterprise wide IT project/program management practices, governance standards, processes. Provide timely and transparent portfolio reporting and ensure strict compliance to agreed processes.

This role reports into the Group Head - Business Change and has 6 direct reports in the team. 

The main accountabilities are:

Group IT Strategy
Contribute to the development of the Group IT Strategy that supports the expansion, development, growth and performance of the Group businesses, Ensure informed decision making to align demand and to the Group strategic objectives 

Demand Management & Capacity Management
• Structure Demand Management in line with Business and EIT strategy  incorporating Business Excellence.
• Lead accurate capacity tracking (programs, projects and RFC’s) and capacity management of EIT resources
Program Management Office (PMO) & Project Portfolio Delivery
• Establish framework and methodologies for effective project governance which covers the entire lifecycle of the project from demand recording, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, through closure.
• Oversee and coordinate programs and projects, with the established framework.
• Work with EIT & Business leadership to provide inputs towards project selection based on strategic objectives, cost/benefit considerations, timing and capacity.
• Establish performance targets, success measurement, and KPIs which integrate measures of scope, schedule, and cost to forecast project performance and to monitor project health.
• Track and monitor projects against set performance targets, ensuring that objectives are being met, and the ability to provide inputs and directions to project managers to bring back on track program/project in case of variances from target performance criteria.
• Monitor risks, issues and changes, and direct corrective actions working with other stakeholders as may be required.
• Establish project delivery partnerships with external vendors and provide a framework for partner selection
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead a lean, skilled and fully engaged team; coach, develop and motivate them to achieve set objectives and deliver maximum contribution.
• Establish clear objectives, roles and accountabilities of the team.
• Promote and support ‘talent’ within the Group
• Develop bench strength and succession plans
• Establish and manage relationships with key implementation vendors. 
• Build external relationships to stay abreast with latest developments and innovation.

Ensure governance structures are established to oversee the entire EIT portfolio of demand and project activity
Monitor and drive compliance to agreed Project Management and Demand processes
Ensure compliance with IT Policies, Security Standards and strengthen internal controls. Identify and manage key risks related to successful project delivery


About You:

To be eligible for this role we are looking for the minimum criteria:

Education: As a minimum a Bachelors Degree is required in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Science or related subjects an advantage

A formal Project Management Qualification is essential with a good working knowledge of alternative established methodologies

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:  Significant IT Experience is required with a good understanding of current and emerging IT trends. A minimum of 3 years working in a similar role , 5 -10 years major project management experience including some change management and  organizational change experience

Job-Specific Skills: Advanced knowledge of Project Management/Compliance/Governance methodology and frameworks. Retail/Automotive/Finance/Treasury/Insurance/Banking/Real Estate business knowledge
