About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is opened for an experienced Category Manager for Panasonic within Al Futtaim Electronics. You will have full P&L responsibility, responsible for principal relationship, interface with sales teams for delivery top-line and net profit. Support and drive multi-channel (retail, wholesale, B2G, B2B) sales. On this role you will be involved from identifying the product, understand the competitive benchmarks, sourcing effectively, supply chain, identifying the sales channel to eventual sell out to the customer. You should be able to identify and assess opportunities in terms of market potential, industry nuances, competitive landscape and sales channel. You should be able to line up the right product at the right time in terms of specifications, seasonality, and supply chain. Develop product strategy and road-map in terms of product positioning, product features, pricing, and sales channel. You should be a product evangelist capable of constantly championing the product in terms explaining the vision, features advantages and benefits. Work in close coordination with the marketing team to develop effective, timely communication internally and externally.

Your role will be based in Dubai. You will report into the General Manager.

About You:

To be considered for this exciting role, you need to have a degree specialized in Business Management. You should have minimum 5+years experience in the consumer electronics industry, specifically in category management / buying with some experience of field sales in consumer electronics. Ideally have knowledge/experience about middle east market environment. Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an asset. 

Strong negotiation and forecasting skills, presentation and MS office expertise, team player, ability to understand company P&L, in-depth understanding of regional electronics market dynamics and capability to support and drive multi-channel (retail, wholesale, B2G, B2B) sales.

Along with previous experience you must have a strong work ethic, competitive drive and entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication skills. Good business acumen. Ability to create cost simulations (Modular and Macro). To be a successful in this role, you must be commercially aware and knowledgeable of the industry and have the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment amidst frequent change. You will have a high level of market awareness.
