Job Purpose:

As the Country Activity Leader you contribute to positioning IKEA stores as the Leader in life at home in your market. You do this by visualising the uniqueness of the IKEA product range and using the store media mix in activities related to the commercial calendar to distance IKEA stores from the competition. Together with your Service Office colleagues you ensure all commercial calendar initiatives successfully grow the IKEA business and support the sustaining of long-term profitability.

About the Job:
  • supporting the store Communication & Interior Design management teams to ensure they execute the commercial calendar thereby creating vitality throughout our stores that exceeds our visitor’s expectations.
  • securing the effective implementation of global solutions by using my knowledge to adapt these to my national needs.
  • ensuring the layout is used to create optimal visual impact, a good overview and supports our commercial priorities.
  • acting as a change sponsor by creating a direction, planning, managing and coaching
  • co-workers in understanding the “why”, so we can move as a team from knowing to doing.
  • working with my marketing colleagues to plan and implement external activities, events and exhibitions to secure one IKEA visual identity.
About You:

Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

  • significant experience of working as a Visual Merchandiser/Activity Manager in an IKEA store.
  • a higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design.
  • a deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing, peoples’ everyday life at home, visual merchandising, retailing and communication.
  • acting as an inspiring and motivating leader who is confident in communicating and coaching.
  • continually seeking new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work.
  • ability to adjust the style of communication to get the message across to the receiver and explain concepts and visual interpretation verbally.
