About the Position:

Marks and Spencer- Al Futtaim is currently operating in 7 countries in the region which are UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and Lebanon. The position is based in the Regional Office in Dubai.

As a General Manager – HR you will be expected to act as a trusted advisor to senior line management on all human capital management matters; to ensure a keen understanding of the business so as to implement HR strategies and practices that support robust business growth. You will be responsible for Talent Acquisition and Management, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, Total Rewards, and you will be shaping our culture too – and doing so plays an integral role in how we perform as a business. It’s about influencing the way our people think and act to keep us ahead in a fiercely competitive marketplace. All of which means we can promise you enormous scope for a hugely rewarding career.

About You:

Relevant qualifications and experience will obviously be important. But being M&S, we want people who care about the M&S brand and can use their people skills to inspire people to give and achieve their best. You’ll know all about the importance of business partnering and be adept at explaining complex HR issues in a way that’s simple to understand and implement.

You should be educated to a degree level in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management or a related field, having an MBA would be desirable. Also, you should have at least five years of management experience as an HR Generalist reporting to the business head.

Experience in compiling manpower budget, analysis and reporting of HR KPIs, choosing and developing selection tools, conducting assessment centers, talent mapping, leadership development, driving engagement, handling disciplinary cases and change management will be critical.

Having a certification with a number psychometric assessment tools will be an asset.
