About the Position:

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager - Freight to oversee our Freight Sales Team within Al Futtaim Logistics.  The role will be based from our busy Jebel Ali site and will report into the General Manager - Freight.  The main purpose of this role is to drive commercial growth of the Freight Forwarding business by efficient management of Strategic and Field sales channels and also bring new customers on board and manage additional business from existing customers, whilst managing multiple relationships internally and externally.

It is the responsibility of the Sales Manager - Freight to support the Freight Management team in regional expansion, establishing freight and local services within GCC locations where the organisation intends to start operations. Client retention is a priority for this role and therefore building and maintaining relationships is essential.  A requirement of this position is to report on performance. Therefore the role holder will consistently evaluate sales performance to optimise efforts and to identify areas for improvement. 

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following experience and skolls:

 

  • Minimum 5 - 8 year experience in Sales Management roles in Freight Forwarding industry, preferably in MNCs, strictly based in Dubai.
  • Analytical and presentation skills
  • Commendable communication skills, multilingual – high proficiency in English
  • Experience in strategic & key account sales management, handling MNC accounts, preferably in verticals such as Chemical, Food, Retail and Automotive.
  • Knowledgeable about the regional supply chain industry & competition
  • Basic knowledge about the customs / port and industry procedures and processes.
