About the Position:

We are now looking for a Content Specialist within eCommerce to accelerate and orchestrate our content strategy agenda across GCC region for our exciting brands within our portfolio.

The position is primarily responsible for digital content writing for several brands in eCommerce-Retail. The person has to create descriptive content to be used in the brand website (Product Descriptions, About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Help Pages, Projects Articles, News Letters, etc…). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all product content is current, factual and within search engine optimization (SEO) and brand guidelines. The Content Specialist will report to a Design & Content Specialist. 

About You:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

 

  • Bachelor's degree, or certification, in English, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.
  • Must be able to quickly assess issues and react to changing circumstances and new information.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a software life-cycle.
  • Microsoft Word.
  • SEO Experience would be an advantage
  • Understanding of accessibility issues and solutions, including legal/compliance.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, including prioritizing and mutli-tasking while paying close attention to detail.
  • Has worked and coordinated directly with the Ecommerce business units.
  • Hands on Integrated Change Control.

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience as content writer preferably within an eCommerce organization.

 

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Excellent English skills (speaking, writing and reading). Arabic would be an advantage
  • Strong skills required in use of computers MS Office is a must.
  • Strong copywriting skills gained in a web environment; high standard of written English
  • Strong copywriting skills in a web environment, with a high standard of English and understanding of SEO guidelines
  • Fast and accurate proof-reader
  • Detail oriented – good eye for inaccuracies and inconsistencies
  • Good grasp of consumer marketing issues
  • Able to work to deadlines and under pressure without compromising on accuracy
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to succeed in a multi-cultural environment.
  • High level of initiative, problem solving and decision making ability.
  • Target oriented and drive to exceed demanding challenges.
