About the Job:

• Repairs damage to metal body work on vehicles and Cifa equipment.

• Repairs panels by welding on new sections.

• May assist vehicle body builders in construction or restoring custom-designed, vintage or other specialty vehicles. .

• May form panels using metal presses, guillotines and cutters, according to dimensional drawings.

 

Description of the Accountability

 

  • Carry out accurate advanced diagnosis to trouble shoot and fault find and then perform effective repairs on vehicles, machinery and equipment.
  • Operate lifts, tools and related workshop equipment
  • Drive vehicles safely inside workshop and follow workshop health & safety, ISO regulations and company policy and procedures.
  • Undertake computer based Self Learning and Instructor led training for product awareness
About the person:
  • Must know how to spot, electric and oxy weld; will use a hammer & dolly flipper to press metal.
  • Must be experienced in smash work so that the panels line up & the doors close in alignment.
  • Preferred be able to use hand tools and to use hydraulic systems competently
  • Must speak English
