Al Futtaim Finance (AFF), a Central Bank of UAE regulated entity, is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Al-Futtaim Group, the leading business conglomerate of UAE. AFF specializes in providing a range of innovative consumer finance products to customers across the UAE.

About the Position:

This role reports to the Assistant GM and will support the Management of IHF (Installment credit) and Finance and Insurance function. This is a regional role supporting 7 countries including UAE and the person will be responsible for the finance governance and reporting of the IHF Portfolios in Al Futtaim Group and F&I process for overseas business.  

This role includes: 

Finance Management and Reporting- IHF Market

  • Support in developing a finance Management framework for all IHF Markets
  • Develop the finance process for ensuring the uniformity in managing the Installment function at each country level
  • Monitor and Interpreted local regulations of lending for Auto in particular.
  • Develop the accounting Policy and processes in line with the local regulations and IFRS and ensure the understanding and acceptance of at each country level function team
  • Assist in design and developing the uniform GL structure to create uniformity in managing accounting in all IHF markets
  • Develop a finance reporting framework for IHF and ensure Reporting at each country level in line with business plan
  • Support all IHF markets in annual budgeting exercise with respect to management of IHF
  • Analyze and assess the requirements of funding at each country level, with understanding of current business requirements and future plans of IHF function
  • Analyze the Technical capabilities of managing the long term debts and support the development / enhancement

Finance Management and Reporting- Overseas Finance and Insurance

  • Design, develop and implement uniform accounting policy and process for all overseas F&I markets
  • Ensuring all agreed process are followed for accounting, reconciliation and reporting
  • Analyze and improve the current accounting structure of overseas F&I to create uniformity in managing accounting in all overseas F&I markets
  • Develop a finance reporting framework for overseas F&I
  • Support the budgeting exercise with respect to overseas F&I for all markets
  • Analyze and interpret the monthly financials and budget variances
  • Support in designing the process of validation of incentive payment to sales staff including plan of surprise audits and execution 

Business Development

  • Support the due diligence for new acquisition
  • Analyze and improve Support in setup of F&I business in new markets
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
About You:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:  

  • In-depth understanding and Extensive related experience with min 10 years in management of finance department including accounting and financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in finance industry / automotive industry is must
  • Corporate work experience (Regional or HQ function) will be an advantage
  • Excellent analytics skills with Specialization in finance analytics
  • University graduate with professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant / MBA in Finance
  • Must hold significant UAE experience. Any regional role in finance and reporting will be of advantage
  • Good understanding ERP system (knowledge of SAP system will have preference)
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with ability to influence at senior management level.
  • Ability to analyze financials, market conditions and identify opportunity for business growth.
  • A proven successful record of accomplishment of management experience at mid management Level.
  • Management experience in a multi-cultural environment
  • Understanding of local regulations related to Consumer Banking
  • Travelling will be perquisite for the role in GCC and North Africa region.
