The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Talent, Resourcing, Development and Localization. This is a newly created role and will report directly into the Group Director of Human Resources.

The position is responsible for providing consulting services and partnering with Human Resources and business leaders to drive talent management, resourcing, development & localization strategies, tools and processes in a systematic & pragmatic manner and within the approved budgets, time frames and management guidelines.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Performance management/ Succession planning/ Talent assessment and coaching
  • Recruitment & selection
  • Training  & development planning and competency identification
  • Localization
  • Organizational development and design

 

Skills and Experience:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a HR leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or advanced degree in or advanced degree in Industrial/ Organizational psychology.

General experience:

  • Must have strong mediation and counseling skills.
  • Must have strategic, analytical and tactical abilities.
  • Must have deep knowledge of local laws and regulations concerning the labour market - experience of living and working in the Middle East is preferable.
  • Must have the ability to acquire and analyze local market demographics, economic and labour market conditions.

Leadership skills:

  • Must have proven leadership abilities and lead by example.
  • Must have the ability to create an environment where values are a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of employees and visitors.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate capabilities as a Leadership Coach, Performance Consultant and Talent Director.
  • Should be innovative with a strong customer centric approach. 

Communication skills:

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to share knowledge and learning.
  • Must be able to build working relationships.
  • Excellent presentation skills and an ability to engage audiences.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.

Business acumen and skills:

  • Ability to successfully negotiate and close a deal.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into organization development plans.
  • Understanding of business processes and basic corporate finance, management and accounting principles.

Time & project management:

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. 

Additional skills:

  • Change management skills.
  • Must be an independent “thinker” and possess strong organization skills, strong customer focus and orientation.
  • Results-oriented and "hands-on" approach
  • Previous Lean or Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience.
