(DOMASCO), an overseas joint venture of the reputable UAE-based Al Futtaim Group, has been operating business in Qatar for 15 years and has sole distribution rights for Honda, Volvo cars and trucks, reputed brands of watches and electronics such as Raymond Weil, Casio and Sanyo as well as Yanmar marine engines in the country.

About the Job:

We are looking to identify an Assistant Sales Manager - Honda Motorcycles to join our team in Doha/ You will be responsible for achieving or exceed allocated sales targets of the Motorbikes division by ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and assisting the Sales & Marketing Manager to consolidate market share, improve brand image and strengthen the brand equity.  In additional you will ensure the achievement and maintenance of the motorbikes showroom standards, arrange for appropriate merchandising and assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in planning, organising and controlling the activities of the showroom.

  • Achieve and maintain the Company prescribed sales standards for his area of operation, which improves and maintains company and brand image and prestige.
  • Achieve or exceed the allocated sales and profit targets.
  • Propose suitable incentive schemes from time to time to ensure the reward package for Sales Executives is attractive and one which paves the way for exceeding targets.
  • Together with the sales team, achieve or exceed CSI objectives thereby ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and repeat sales.
  • Adhere to company sales system and prospecting processes. Achieve or exceed the target on number of prospects logged which ensures achievement of Company's business objectives and a larger customer/prospect base.
  • Oversee the use, housekeeping and maintain the overall control on the prospecting and on-line computerised sales system.
  • Periodically impart training to Sales Executives by conducting structured in-house training programs.  Constantly improve and update knowledge, specifically about product range, features and generally about the motorcycle industry which enhances performance considerably.
  • Ensure motivation levels of the sales team are high at all times and work closely with the team to form a cohesive team.
  • Ensure that Company procedures are adhered to while handling cash and credit customers. This ensures safety of cash and minimise chances of any loss.
  • Develop, plan, seek approval of Sales & Marketing Manager and implement various merchandising ideas to enhance the visual impact of the motorcycles showroom display which helps in improving sales performance. Suggest sales promotions from time to time to increase sales. Work with the Sales & Marketing Manager and marketing team on promotions, advertising, outdoor events, etc to promote the Honda brand.
  • Liaise and coordinate effectively with admin and other departments and staff within the Company on various issues pertaining to the effective performance of the Honda Motorcycles Division as a whole.
  • Manage stock at correct levels in line with the sales plan. Make recommendations on monthly stock orders to ensure this.
About You:

The selected candidate will have the following education, skills and experience.

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years sales management experience with a preference to those candidates with Motorbike Sales.
  • Experience in managing a sales team.
  • Experience in planning customer events.
  • Arabic speaking an advantage.
  • You must be passionate about Motorcycles  - ideally have a Motorbike licence.
  • Ideally be a member of a local motorbike club or association.
